Applying different commission rate for different products can only be done when your are using the WP eStore and the Affiliate platform plugins together. Since these are both our products we can integrate them more closely.
Why can’t this be done with other e-Commerce plugin/solution?
This option requires that the product specific commission is stored with the product so the affiliate plugin can look up this data and apply the commission appropriately. When you use an external eCommerce plugin there is no way for us to determine how you can store the commission percentage specific to a product.
If the 3rd party shopping cart that you are using can store the commission amount with the product then an integration of this level can be done (so that when the product is sold we can see how much commission you wanted to pay for that product). Most 3rd party shopping carts don’t have an option like that unfortunately.
