Hi
I bought your WP-eMember plugin and got it up and running immediately and all is fine. I needed badly a method of allowing a customer to enter first name and email address and be given an encrypted download link without the trouble or time involved with such as AWeber, Mailchimp, etc. Entrance WP_Estore with the ‘squeeze page type’. I thought it would be as easy as the emember to get up and running but unfortunately, 8 days after continuously trying i cannot achieve a simple task that you show. Unfortunately i cannot waste any further time and would like to ask how i may go about receiving a refund or allowance against another plugin.
If someone from the support team is prepared to look at my site to see what is happening i would be happy to provide them with temporary login to check.
Some of the error coming up i cannot understand such as the url given for the download button graphic is not a legitimate url. However, i can put the link into a browser and its fine.
Look forward to your speedy reply, running out of time to complete website.
Many thanks
DWhitt

March 9, 2012 at 12:46 pm #42829dwhittMemberHi Support
Thanks for the reply. I will try and explain the problems I am having the best i can:
1. When trying to setup the squeeze style layout so i can give people a link and the download path can be hidden to avoid passing round the download file. I get to the point where your instruction says:
‘Add a new product to your products database using the ‘Add/Edit Products’ menu.(Don’t forget to fill the ‘Button Image URL’ field when you add the product. this image will be shown as the ‘download now/Get Now’ button. The plugin comes with a download button (download_icon.png) that is stored in the images directory of the plugin’
I have used the suggested button and have used the path as follows:
http://www.wholesalersoftware.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/download-buttons01.png
after inputting this path and saving the warning below appears on the top of the admin page:
The URL specified in the “Button Image URL” field does not seem to be a valid URL! Please check this value again:
http://www.wholesalersoftware.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/download-buttons01.png
So no matter how i setout the path to the ‘Button Image URL’ i cannot avoid the above error message.
If i try and view the page all i get is the text value of the shortcode. The form never shows. This is so frustrating as i cannot see what other errors i may have made filling out the setup details. The problem is, i have never been able to get the form to appear on any page i have set the shortcode. I was beginning to think it had something to do with the page the shortcode was included on.
I have also placed both the normal and the ajax shortcodes on the same page to see if i could get either to display, but no luck!
Any help appreciated. Do you have a private mail that i can supply you with the login details and you can view the problem yourself??
Many thanks

March 9, 2012 at 1:21 pm #42830PeterMemberHi,
As per the plugins comment, the buttons are stored in the “images” directory of the plugin.
Therefore you will need to look in:
http://www.wholesalersoftware.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/images/
Or you can simply upload your own button image.
See this post where the person has an identical problem as yours

March 9, 2012 at 5:59 pm #42831wzpModeratorI’d like to keep this discussion public for as long as possible; so that others in the future can benefit from the solution to this issue.
We first need to validate that there is no deeper problems that may be affecting the installation. Please create a blank WordPress page, containing a single non-AJAX squeeze page button for the product, using a blank value for the product’s “Button image URL.” When you view the page, a squeeze page form, with the default button image should appear. If not, we need to look deeper.
Next, fill in the product’s “Button image URL” value, and check if the squeeze page displays the custom button image.
If it works at this point, then try repeating this on the original page you had the button on. If it fails, it means there is some kind of conflict going on with the rest of the page content.

March 11, 2012 at 9:50 am #42833dwhittMemberHi
I have done as suggested and still cant get it to work. However, i am using a template that may cause the problem as i have installed WordPress 2012 and everything works fine.
Thats ok except the site has been designed using the purchased template and it would mean a complete time consuming redesign if it is the template?
It would be easier to not use your plugin which is now purchased and i really like, so where do we go from here? I am pretty ok with wordpress etc etc but any help you could give to see if we could get this to work with the current theme would be brilliant.
Many thanks

March 11, 2012 at 2:34 pm #42834wzpModeratorWhen you have a conflict like this, it means the theme or template is violating a WordPress design principle.

The best, and proper advice, is that you should contact the author of the conflicting theme or template.
March 12, 2012 at 9:47 am #42835dwhittMemberHi
This is becoming stranger and stranger as we go on.
I switched on my system this morning and decided to revert from the wordpress template to my template which the site has been designed on and guess what? The form appears although it does look a little odd in its layout, here is screenshot:
I was beginning to think we were getting somewhere when after filling in the form as it was on screen the following error came up:
Could not POST the squeeze form processing request to the server!
I dont know whether we are making progress or not but help with the latest error would be appreciated. I am determined to get the plugin to work!!
Regards

March 12, 2012 at 11:14 pm #42836adminKeymasterThat error means that WordPress could not send the data to the server using the remote post method.
You should review this article and if necessary hire someone to fix the issues on this theme if you can’t get the theme developer to help:
