Hi,
I’m using eStore, eMember and WP Affiliate Platform. I want to delay payment of my affiliates for 30 days (until after my trial offer has expired).
I understand that I can setup affiliates manually and disallow user’s from getting to the affiliate program. However, I would prefer to allow user’s to monitor their own affilaite account.
However, it appears that if my affiliate puts their PayPal address into their Profile page they are automatically/instantly paid whenever a purchase is made through their affiliate link.
So, is their a way for me to allow affiliates access to their profile and link without their being immediately paid when their link is used? I want to make Mass Payments periodically.
Thank you,
Pg

September 24, 2011 at 1:44 pm #36963PGMemberGood Day,
I read the post your referenced before starting this thread. What I don’t understand is how to create the “cooling period.” I understand that I can manually pay affiliates, and that I can do so after a period of time. That is not my problem/question. So let me confirm my premise:
Am I correct that
If an affiliate has access to their affiliate profile
And the affiliate’s paypal address is entered into their profile
And a purchase is made through his/her affiliate link
That the commission payment is immediately automatically made?
My current understanding is that the only way to delay payment and introduce a “cooling period” is to prevent the affiliate having access to their affiliate account so their PayPal address is not input.
So my question is, is there another way to do this? A way that I can give affiliates access to their affiliate account, but prevent immediate/automatic payment and introduce a cooling period.
Thank you,
Pg
September 24, 2011 at 11:30 pm #36964adminKeymasterThe plugin does not make any automatic affiliate commission at purchase time. One of the reasons it doesn’t automatically make the affiliate commission (when a customer purchase something) is to allow you to introduce your preferred cooling period. You (the admin) pay the affiliate commission at the end of the month or any other agreed time period). This is why you will never see any of the well known companies instantly paying the affiliate commission to the affiliate (The accumulated sum is always paid at a later date).
The plugin simply keeps track of all the affiliate commission and tallies it up for you in real time.
