I have deactivated my affiliate platform plugin. i want to make use of it at a later stage. This morning I got a new affiliate signup notification. The link: to wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php is still active and it lets people sign up for the affiliate program. I thought by deactivating the plugin in wordpress, will automatically deactivate all links to my affiliate site? How do I prevent people from accessing the link above? Do I have to delete the plugin as well and re-install it at a later time? I don’t want to delete it completely, because I’ve setup everything and don’t want to loose that and redo later.
Two options for you:
1) Delete the affiliate plugin for now (you won’t lose the data).
2) Activate the plugin and check the following option from the settings menu of the plugin:
Do Not Allow Visitors to Signup
This way no one can become an affiliate until you allow it again.
