What is the best way to go about customizing the fancy5 product display?? like color, size etc? Do I have to edit the .css for fancy five?

great thanks! How would i align say 3 fancy5 products in a row horizontally? When i put 3 of them on a page they end up aligning all on the left side, one on top of another.

By default each product is displayed in a block of their own. If you want to have grid view (so they stack side by side) you need to use a shortcode that displays multiple products from a category. Look at the shortcode list and you will find one.
