I’m setting up Photo Seller alongside Virtue Premium Theme. The theme has the ability to create a Portfolio page like this, (although I still have to figure out how)!
Looking at the structure of Photo Seller, I think this would be the equivalent of an Albums page and, if I understand the hierarchy correctly, I could have a page like this at Album level, that could display an album called ‘Travel’, for example, and then enter the Travel album at Gallery level, to view ‘USA’, ‘Europe’ galleries, etc?
Reading the documentation, I create galleries first, then add an Album level above if required? Would it be possible to use this Virtue Theme portfolio page for this purpose? I don’t want to go to a lot of effort to set it up if I can’t substitute it for the Photo Seller Album page.
Thank you

The albums in photo seller have their own templates but you can easily do a workaround as follows:
You can create your galleries as you normally would using the photo seller and then also create your albums too. After you create an album, the photo seller will automatically create a page for each album (this page contains the galleries within an album)
There will also be an “album home page” containing a shortcode ([WPS_photo_albums_home]) which will list all of the albums you have created within photo seller. What you can do is ignore this page and instead, use the special theme page you mentioned to list your albums, ie, from your theme page you simply need to make your own thumbs and link the URL of each of the album pages to one of the thumbnails on your theme page.
Do you understand what I mean?

Thanks, I think I understand and will give it a go in a few days. I have some other areas to complete before I create my gallery but I’m glad to hear it is possible in principle. I’ll get back to you if I get stuck!
Thanks a lot,
Jane

November 29, 2014 at 5:56 pm #66622rixieMemberHi Peter, I have uploaded a few galleries today relating to Travel. I have created an Album called Travel, and included the galleries accordingly, which has generated a page for the album. However, i cannot find an Album Home Page anywhere – am I missing something?
Thanks
November 29, 2014 at 11:51 pm #66623PeterMemberAs previously stated, the photo seller plugin automatically creates an album page after you configure and save an album.
You can alternatively create your own album page manually by using the create page function from wordpress and inserting the album shortcode. An example is:
[WPS_photo_album id="1"]
where id represents the album.
In your case your “travel” album page appears to be this one:
