When my customers purchase a product, they receive a link and the zip files successfully downloads but the file is empty.
When I create a download link from within the shopping cart admin, I get a link but when activated, the downloaded file is also empty.
how can I make it so my customers actually receive their downloaded purchases?
I have all the files uploaded to my website and have carefully added the download locations. I insured there are no punctuation marks in the folder or file names (except the obvious .zip)
When I activate the link manually that I have inserted into the download information of the shopping cart, I successfully download the file but the encrypted links result in empty files.
Any advice?

The encrypted download is not working on your site. There could be a few reasons for this. Please go through the following checklist and that will help you solve the issue:
