I am trying to sell a subscription item, where we need to collect customers input, by placing the eStore URL in a button within a pricing Table. The customer input addon wont work as subscriptions don;t use the cart.
However, when clicking on the button, the option to enter the user text appears only briefly as eStore passes info to a PayPal payment page.
It can be tested by visiting turbo-chart.com/purchasetest and clicking on the button titled “Purchase EUR”.
Is there anyway to place a product specific input form into the table that gets included in the payment?

What is supposed to go in that input box, located above the button?

Sorry, I don’t see it.

I want to be able to capture users email address when they purchase a subscription, noting that this email address is likely to be different to the PayPal payment address.
I can use the customer input addon as a field in the shopping cart – but subscriptions do not use the shopping cart so this wont work.
Is there a way to include a text field in HTML code that will be included with the subscription purchase?

The accepted solution to this has been to have the PayPal account owner create email aliases, and then use the aliases to specify the payment account, during the subscription process.
Under your proposed solution, use of an email address not aliased to an existing PayPal account will make you ineligible for PayPal Seller Protection; because it is akin to shipping goods to an address not on file with PayPal.
August 16, 2018 at 5:41 am #78328adminKeymasterFor subscription products, you can use the standard “Collect Customer Input” for the product. You can edit the product and enable that option under the “Additional Product Details” section.
However, due to how a HTML form works, you need to use our subscription product shortcode so that field’s value can be passed to PayPal. A text link can’t pass a text field’s value.
