Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this one.
I have created a custom field required during registration, called “Initials” as I wanted Initials and not first names.
However, when I go to Manage Members, there is no column for “Initials”.
How do I get a custom field to appear in the Manage Members table?
I’ve updated the plugin to the latest version, and I’ve checked the documentation but to no avail.
Thanks in advance,
Mat
September 6, 2011 at 12:23 am #36258adminKeymasterDo you have the “Enable Custom Fields” checkbox checked? Does the custom field show up in the registration page?
September 6, 2011 at 9:30 am #36259mattyraskerMemberHi Admin,
Thanks for the reply – Yes I have “Enable Custom Fields” ticked and yes the Custom Field does show up on the registration page.
On a seperate note, I also tried changing the order of the fields so that the custom field appeared before others but couldn’t work that out. Not essential though, although if you have the solution to that too I would be most grateful
Mat

September 8, 2011 at 8:28 am #36261mattyraskerMemberHi, I got your mail and your response, please see my response.
I am referring to the Manage Members table, not Add / Edit Member.
September 8, 2011 at 9:12 am #36262adminKeymasterThat table is just a summary display… that table cannot display all the details of a member in one row. You need to click on the “edit” link to see the full details of the member and your custom fields will be there.
May 22, 2012 at 3:50 pm #36263MattMemberHi.
How do I change the display order of the fields in the User Profile display. ie; I created a new custom field “Title”. It currently displays at the bottom of the profile. I would like to display prior to (just above) the “Company” field.
Thanks!
May 23, 2012 at 5:45 am #36264adminKeymasterYou don’t need to create a new custom field for “Title”. This is one of the core form fields. Simply go to the “Pages/Forms Settings” menu and then scroll to the “Edit Profile Form Fields” section and enable this field so it gets displayed.
The ordering of the custom fields is only for the custom field section (this is outside the core registration form fields).
May 23, 2012 at 1:44 pm #36265MattMemberThanks for the reply.
I noted the Title field, but for my purposes it was confused with a “Mr, Mrs, Miss, etc” field (which typically precede the name fields). I required it to precede the “Company” field I created (as well as others) hence re-creating it to get around the order issue I ran into.
Is there no way to reorder the core registration form fields? If not, any way to implement? Would be a wonderful and welcome addition, and very handy at that.
May 24, 2012 at 3:40 am #36266adminKeymasterAt the moment there is no way to reorder the core form fields.
May 24, 2012 at 2:54 pm #36267MattMemberBummer. Would be a great feature to implement in an upcoming release. I’ll take a peek for a feature implementation request area of the forum…
Cheers!
