Custom Field Checkbox, required no functioning

Hello,

I have the newest update, I’m using WP eMembers – Members v6.7.5.

I created a custom form field, I needed a checkbox and I marked it as required.

all of the other required fields on the form work, the the checkbox is not working as a required field.

Any suggestions?

You do understand that checkboxes can either be checked or unchecked. So when you say a checkbox must be required you are forcing the customer to always have it checked. If you have a field that must be checked all the time then maybe you do not even need to collect this data from the user because you already know the value of that field? Does that make sense?

It a checkbox when they are filling out their member form stating that they have read the terms and conditions of the site. It’s a checkbox that they will only have to check once when they are signing up for membership.

So, since there is a checkbox to make this field required, is there any way to make it so that it works?

We changed the functionality of the “required” field for checkbox type field so it needs to be checked when it is set as required (this sounds like a better option). It should now work the way you want it to work. Please get a new build of eMember from here to get this:
