Greetings:
I have tried all I know. I am at a loss!
I downloaded and installed the WP CSV to Database Plugin. Great idea for a plugin.
I downloaded and used the product.csv file from T&T to use in building a file for import.
I opened the file in Excel 2016 (Mac OS). I saved the file down to earlier version of Excel; I found it tends to help with mail merge and csv files. I save the changed Excel file to CSV Windows CSV. I tried the import. File not recognized as CSV. There are no spaces in the file name. Since I am using a Mac I changed the file properties to display the CSV in the name; something that tends to work best for nonMac operations. FYI: I also tried importing without the extension showing.
I save the file, again, as CSV MS OS format. I tried to import the file. file not recognized as CSV. There are no spaces in the file name. Since I am using a Mac I changed the file properties to display the CSV in the name; something that tends to work best for nonMac operations. FYI: I also tried importing without the extension showing.
I read through many postings and have tried other things as listed. I am still not able to import the CSV file.

July 25, 2017 at 4:39 pm #76104FredMemberYes, sir, the file name does end with .csv. I made certain that was true before I began. I know that Mac OS does not require the extension to display. When I saved, I forced the file name to show .csv extension.
July 26, 2017 at 1:47 am #76105adminKeymasterThere is likely an issue with the file format. When you re-saved it after edits, did you get the warning that excel shows to keep the same format of save as excel file? It is important you keep the same forma.
Sometimes I find it is better to edit the csv file (the one you download) using a text editor. That way when you save it, the format doesn’t change.
Please share a link to your CSV file so I can check it.
July 26, 2017 at 12:01 pm #76106FredMemberGreat question to ask. I did not tell Excel to save any formatting. The CSV file can be found

I tried the import using Chrome and Firefox on Mac OS.

July 27, 2017 at 12:18 am #76109adminKeymasterI don’t know where you got that CSV file but that is not gonna work for sure. The columns don’t match with the eStore’s database tables at all. You can’t feed any info you want to the eStore’s table. You have to give info that matches with eStore’s DB table columns.
So you download the products.csv file from the following page:

Don’t change the columns in that file. Only add in the product info below the existing column headers (use the column headers to determine what info goes in a particular column).
