Credit Card Processor unable to process Payment – Processing Issues

Hi all, This is just post with some information.

I came across a problem when attempting to pay via paypal either by login or credit card. When it came to the stage of hitting ‘pay now’ after the payment details had been entered and sent, it would direct me to a page, stating the credit card processor was unable to process the payment request!!!

EVerything worked fine in the sandbox, and this problem only occurred when I went live. So after nearly two days of checking all the IPN etc etc, I called paypal and the guy said they don’t know the problem but suspect it has to do with the subcategory classification of my site, being adult digital content!

Now I am just selling music, but at the time I must have classified it as adult because it contains some explicit lyrics. It was not until I had it said to me, ‘adult’ digital content did it register this meant pornographic material.

I then realised I had allowed in my WP Estore payments to accept under 18 payments. There was a confict!!!

I then went to my paypal account, reclassified my categorisation and hey presto, the payment system worked. The only downside is in seeking paypal help they have limited my account. This doesnt affect payment system but I now have to call them back.
