Coupon for specific product only

We want to assign a coupon to a specific product line but not be usable with other product lines.

We have created a 100% off coupon but it ends up working with everything added to the shopping cart.

Is this possible?

I believe I figured it out.

1) Create a catalogue item.

2) Create a coupon with a condition based on the Catalogue ID

3) Assign the Catalogue item to each product you want the coupon to apply to.

Have I got that right?
