Hello, I am configuring the eMember plugin and came across a few questions. He

How does the user know that his membership has expired? He does not have access to a page with info about his membership (dates) and nowhere does it tell him that he has to renew his membership. Am I wrong? He is not taken to the renewal page neither in my case.

Another thing : I decided that the expired user could login, and can view protected content that is for members only. Did I do something wrong? Note that the protected content was protected with the tag, not with member content protection.

And if I choose not to let the expired member login in his account, I don’t know really what happens? It seems he can still login and he also has access to protected content. So he is not considered like a member nor like a non-member?

Did I miss something in the configuration?

It would be nice to be able to grant access to those expired members just like we do with member and non-members.

In my case I added a visible profile for each member and now I realize that I will have to delete one by one the profiles of those who do not renew. Would it be possible to have in the member Manage Member page an extra colum with the date the membership expired? Then I could control and wait maybe 1 month before deleting the profile.

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

The “Allow Expired Account login” option lets a member whose subscription expired log into your system but when they do log in it will tell them that they need to renew the membership.

If you have put a URL in the “Membership renewal Page” settings then it will show them that link so the members can renew their membership.

When a logged in member makes a membership payment their membership status is upgraded to reflect the latest payment.
