I have a front-end product at $12, and a variation for $100 more.
What I need to do is pay out $12 in commission whether the customer chooses the $12 or the $112 purchase option.
eStore general settings have a checkbox to select % or $, and then a space for the numeric value. An eStore product has only a numeric field.
How do I pay $12 in commission, overriding a global 50% commission rate?
Hi, You can either use the commission in percentage or a fixed commission for the product. You can’t use both at the same time.
The type of commission model you use (either a percentage based or a fixed commission) is set in the settings menu of the affiliate plugin. Once you make up your mind on what model you are going to use, everywhere you need to use that same model. You can’t use % based commission for some and $ based commission for some
Ouch. Thanks for confirming what I’d feared….
I’ve now got my second point for a “feature wish list” entry.
And now I’ve modified this to work as I wanted. So far the code seems rather clean and straight-forward. Nice!
I’m desperate to do the same thing. For some products I’d like to pay a flat commission for others a %.
IMGIGClub would you be up for posting your code or pointing me in the right direction?
Thanks so much!
