comment log in required on regular post, not protected content and I don't want

My readers aren’t able to leave comments on my blog, not protected pages. I don’t want this and do not have anything checked to restrict it in my settings. Why is this happening?

Check your wordpress settings (not eMember) in case you may have turned on the comment login feature.

Go to “WordPress Settings” -> “Discussions” then check if the “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” field is enabled.

Also check the following field in eMember settings… do you have that unchecked?:

Members Must be Logged in to Comment

Hi there, I have the opposite problem. When I test my site, I log in.. when I go to the posts… it asks me to log in again. Any thoughts on this?

I have the posts protected, but unprotected to all membership levels.

In e-member settings I also have the box checked that says “must be a member to comment”.

This is for the comment section of a protected post or your actual post content? Can you share a link to the post in question?
