On a page where we sell tickets to an event (bvbeeks.org/events/bee-school/registration/), we sell the tickets as:
Single (adult) – $60
Couple (adult) – $100
Kids – $15
We need to get the name of EACH person coming (as they want it to appear on their name tags). I thought I could do this with the “Collect Customer Input” option under the “Additional Details”, but have run into 2 problems:
Problem 1: There is only 1 box for the adult ticket choice, but if they choose “couple” we need 2 boxes. How can I get 2 boxes if the user selects the “couple” choice?
Problem 2: for the Kids, the customer needs to modify the quantity in the cart (because I couldn’t figure out how to allow the customer to just put in a number). But let’s say there are 3 kids coming – again, we only have 1 box for the names of the kids. How can I get a box for EACH ticket purchased for a kid?
The textbox can be used to enter multiple names (separated by comma).
The limitations exist because of the way transactions are processed (through PayPal, et al). Please read this, to determine if one of the alternative methods can be used to collect customer input:
