hi! Is there a way to display the Collect Customer Input’s field label name to the shopping cart?
For example, currently it just displays the input data the customer types in. My field label name is “Personalize to”, so could this display in the shopping cart as “Product name (Personalize to: customer input)” rather than “Product name (customer input)”
Are you using this addon?

Or are you using one of these methods?
Hi! I don’t need the plugin because I want to capture the customer input on the website, not in paypal. I want specific input per item purchased. (they’re books so the option is for the author to autograph the book to the purchaser). The field label is named: “personalize to:”, so what I’m asking is if that field label (i.e. “personalize to:”) can also be passed to the cart, instead of just the input value in parentheses after the product name in the cart.
So it would display display in the shopping cart as “Product name (Personalize to: customer input)” rather than “Product name (customer input)”?
I’m hoping this make sense.
I want specific input per item purchased. (they’re books so the option is for the author to autograph the book to the purchaser).
Have you tried using the procedure under “Collecting Different Customer Inputs for Different Products” on this page?
No. All I want to do is pass the Collect Customer Input’s field label to the cart/paypal. I’m not sure how to be more clear about this?
Hi, The label can’t go there since PayPal has character limits for that field. We keep that field for value only so that the character limit is not exceeded.
You can view the details of custom fields, including the label, within the Customers menu of the plugin. The “Viewing the Customer Input Data” section on the addon’s page includes a screenshot illustrating how it should appear:
