Hi there, I’ve setup my estore to do the following.
User Purchases > Email to user with product specific instructions > They get a link to a page with a order form
However, my products are not digital products and the problem I have is that they get an email like this:
PRODUCT INFO – This product does not have any downloadable content Total Cost: $$$$ Transaction ID: TRANSACTDETAILS You should soon receive a payment receipt and a copy of this download information in your email
Why is it that they don’t get my product specific instructions? And how do I turn off the “this product does not have any downloadable…”? All my customers are getting this and I want to remove this and display without the link to the order form.
Please let me know how I can fix this. Thank you!
December 11, 2012 at 5:33 am #52240adminKeymasterFirst of all, use the following email tag to show the product specific instruction in the email:
{product_specific_instructions}
Next, use the following email tag instead of {product_link} which will work better for you:
{product_link_digital_items_only}
All the email tags are explained on our documentation here:

I wasn’t sure what caused it, is there a way for me to check where the error is? And If I used the email I’m using to send mass emails, does this affect the sales email? I’ve asked them to check their spam / junk but it’s not there too.
December 12, 2012 at 9:20 pm #52242PeterMemberHi, There is a comprehensive checklist you can go through regarding issues with emails after purchase.
Please see this link:
Q: “If I used the email I’m using to send mass emails, does this affect the sales email?”
A: It’s a good practice to use autoresponders for mass emailing because they are designed to minimize you from being flagged as spam due to the fact that people have to usually “opt-in” to receive them.
