Hello
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced delayed notifications from clickbank, sometimes up to 4 hours. I can see the purchase in clickbank but eStore and PDF stamper don’t register the sale for hours, this delays the email with secure links to customers. I will contact clickbank too, but wanted to know if this is common.
I have also just read that the clickbank notification service is being updated. Will there need to be an update to eStore to support this change?
“Update – December 2014
In the coming months, ClickBank will be deprecating older versions of Instant Notification in preparation of the new multi-line item transaction system that will be capable of supporting shopping carts. This necessitates a full migration of all clients to Version 6.0 of the Instant Notification Service. Version 6.0 provides responses in JSON format and additional parameters as discussed below.”

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Clickbank have said their notification system is rather simple and is not delayed at all.
I made a sale on the 14th Dec AU, 7am and received the Clickbank sales notification email instantly. The client email my support after a few hours informing me the email with stamped links were not received. I checked PDF stamper to find nothing was stamped in the users name. I manually stamped files and sent them.
This morning, I have finally received the sales notification email from eStore. I have checked PDF stamper and there are now stamped files in the customers name dated 15th Dec AU 11pm.
What would cause this sort of delay?
Thanks
Jay
December 16, 2014 at 12:13 am #67392adminKeymasterHi Jay, The plugin never delays anything (it doesn’t have any capability to delay things… so it can’t delay even if it wanted to). It gets a payment notification from the payment gateway, the script gets executed and does its job.
There are only two possibilities where this delay can happen:
1) Clickbank or 2) Your hosting provider is somehow adding a delay before the notification reaches the plugin.
Payment gateways always tell their customers that it is instant. I know for a fact that it is not always instant.
