Hi!
I appreciate the time taken to come up with this plugin. I came upon it and noticed there was a premium version. However, because I also run WPAddict.net, I thought I would try the free version on a client’s site before trying out the pay version.
I may have come to a problem.
I entered the short code that was specified in both the product page (I put it on 2 for now) and a link to the CheckOut pages which has the shortcode for that. Please note that I added the addcart redirection specified in this forum so when a customer clicks on “Add to Cart”, it goes to the checkout page.
Afterwards, I tried it out. Nothing seemed to be adding to the shopping cart. It keeps saying that the cart is empty.
The product page – http://chrisddowning.com/products-page/
Checkout page – http://chrisddowning.com/products-page/checkout/
If I can get this to work, then 2 things/ well, 3 things happen:
1- I can write a positive review and include a few pointers just in case someone has the same issue I do.
2- My client is happy!
3- I can be confident buying the premium eshop and can write a review on that later on as well.
I truly appreciate your time, both on this issue and for providing a good script. I am a developer of a few scripts outside of WordPress so I understand.
If I can get this worked through, I am definitely sold on buying your premium version. I tried other shops and they have been quite bulky. Manually adding paypal forms are a pain…lol.
March 18, 2010 at 12:22 am #18952amin007ParticipantPlease try the plugin first without doing any modification to it. This will ensure that the custom modification didn’t break anything. Once you try this then my next question is are you using a caching pluin that is caching the “checkout” page?
If the above is not a problem then it would suggest that the PHP session on your server is not working correctly. Fixing PHP session issue is usually very easy (one email to your hosting provider should do the trick).
March 18, 2010 at 12:47 am #18953nileMemberI had done this before, so it may be the PHP session. Will forward this to the host of that site.
I appreciate it a ton and hopefully this will solve the issue.
March 18, 2010 at 3:41 am #18954nileMemberApparently the webhost said they updated the PHP session. However, is there anything that they might need to do in particular?
(Again thank you!)
March 18, 2010 at 4:04 am #18955IvyMemberHi Nile, Updating the PHP session should fix the problem. This can sometimes take a few hours for the changes to take effect. It appears you have 2 different carts or you have a setting issue. If you go to the checkout page (using the link at the top of the page called Checkout) you will see the cart is working properly. If you go to the bottom of the page and click view cart this is redirecting you to Paypal not the checkout page and it is empty even if you add an item.
Cheers,
Ivy
