Checkbox for Mailchimp signup?

I currently have it set up that anyone that registers on the site is automatically added to my Mailchimp list. What I would like to do is give the user the option, in the form of a checkbox, so they can be added to the newsletter list or not. Is that possible?

I know you can set it up so there’s the opt in email that gets sent from Mailchimp and if they choose not to reply to that then they won’t get added but I was looking for a more streamline solution.

Nope, there is no option to have a separate checkbox unfortunately.
