Tagged: Filename change, pdf stamper, Transaction ID
Hey. This is a carry-over from my previous question regarding Transaction IDs.
How difficult would it to get the PDF Stamper code modified to show the full Transaction ID in the filename? I believe at the moment it only shows the first 10 character or so, but I require it to show the full ID so we can associate each file with the correct customer.
As always, I’ll be happy to pay for the modification to be made if it’s able to be made.
The following is not correct:
"I believe at the moment it only shows the first 10 character or so"
If you use the following tag in the “footer text” field then it will stamp the full transaction ID there.
{transaction_id}
What gives you the impression that it only shows the first 10 characters?
Also, having the transaction ID stamped into the footer is more secure than relying on having it as part of the filename. Filenames can always be tampered with.

I believe they’re asking to have the full transaction ID added to the stamped file’s file name, so that they can identify who bought which file when using the “Manage Stamped Files” page. I don’t believe they are asking for the transaction ID to be stamped in the PDF.
To the OP… if this is your issue, I’ve started a thread asking for customer’s names to be added to the Manage Stamped Files list so I don’t have to hunt down who belongs to what file. Thanks to awesome customer support, I expect a solution sometime soon-ish. Maybe that will help you?
