Not sure why some of my affiliates are showing negative balances. Is there a way to manually reset to zero?
I’m using WP_Affiliate v5.4.5
and WP_eStore version 6.9.6.8
thanks
Andrew
The following is happening:
– You have told eStore and the affiliate plugin to reverse the commission when a refund is issued
– You paid off an affiliate then you issued a refund on a transaction for that affiliate
– The plugin obviously can’t take the money back that you already paid so it adds that amount as a negative commission. This will adjust the balance in the future when that affiliate makes a new commission.
Solutions:
1) Don’t do anything, it is working how it should. Over time the math works out (nobody is getting incorrect amount)
2) Don’t use the automatic reversal feature of the plugin
3) Don’t give refund on a transaction where the commission have been paid off
4) Manually apply a positive commission equal to the negative balance for that affiliate. You can do this via the “Sales/Comm Data”
Ahh. That makes sense. Thank you so much!
