I have protected the category “blog”. Other categories are not protected. I like to make some of the blog posts isn the category “blog” not protected, but it does not work.
I understand now:
Category protection first: You cannot unprotect a single post of that category.
I decided to unprotect the category and protect or not protect all of 200 posts manually.
You can also create two versions of the category: one protected and one publicly accessible. Add the posts you want to restrict to the protected category, and add the publicly available posts to the unprotected category.
Thank you! Two versions of the category e.g. “blog” ? I would then need to create a ‘Blog Free’ category and a ‘Blog Premium’ category. The blog archive page would then need to include both. I’ll now make all the changes manually.That’s my decision; perhaps someone else might do it differently.
