Hi Folks,
I made a short screen capture video to show the issue I am having:
FYI, I recently upgraded WordPress to 4.0 and then upgraded WP-E-Cart to the most recent version after the problem occurred.
In a nutshell… one of my items will not “stick” in the shopping cart when other items are added and the shopping cart does not show up on other product pages when it has items added to it. Other items stick just fine… but one product is always removed from the cart.
My host (HostGator) checked into PHP Session issues and even tried modifying my PHP.ini file but that did not work either.
This cart has been on my site for years and I really like it. Any ideas on what may have gone wrong and how to fix this?
Thanks Much,
Bill

Well… it’s not just one page. But this one seems to be where the trouble starts:

Did you watch my little video?
I am not using any caching plugins that I am aware of. That said; maybe something is caching on it’s own?
You can see a screen-shot of my plugins here:

September 25, 2014 at 3:32 pm #65639wzpModeratorWell, according to the “Your shopping cart is empty!” error message, you might be experiencing a PHP session problem. Did you contact your hosting provider yet, to see if PHP sessions are working correctly on your server?
September 25, 2014 at 4:17 pm #65640jbillhMemberYep, I mentioned that in my first post.
September 26, 2014 at 12:12 am #65641adminKeymasterHi, It looks like the PHP session is broken on this site. Two way this could have happened:
1) You added a new plugin (with bad code that is breaking the PHP Session)
2) Your hosting provider changed things on your server and now the session is broken.
The following post has some useful info for you:

September 29, 2014 at 6:52 pm #65642jbillhMemberHi folks,
For some unexplained reason the cart works again and I have no idea why. I’m just glad it does. ; – )
Thanks for your help… I’ll be back if it breaks again but have had great luck with it over the years.
BTW, On the page that seemed to be creating the error… my sidebar was missing for some reason. Now it is back (don’t know how it left or how it got back) but now that it is back everything works again. Go figure! ; – )
All the Best,
Bill
