Hi,
I noticed in your version 6 update for eStore ( I have version 7.1.4), you say that you have added the option to capture IP addresses for each customer. https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-estore-plugin-change-log-56
When I look in the customer record, I see that the IP address is actually the same for every customer i.e. it is the IP address for the server upon which my site is hosted.
Is there a way for me to set this up in eStore to capture the actual IP address of each customer? I have taken a look through the settings and have not found anything, apologies if I have overlooked something.
If the option is not available on eStore, can it be done with eMember?
I have previously bought eMember so if it would be better to go store my products on eMember (rather than send download links), that is fine.
The reason that I ask is that there are new EU Vat Laws coming into force in January and I am expected to collect and pay VAT based on the location of the customer rather than my location. IP address is one of the methods used to confirm their location.

PS. we have an addon that we are working on for the new EU VAT stuff.
December 18, 2014 at 11:57 am #67516Carthage BuckleyMemberI am using paypal. I have a buy now button on my sales page which uses the link e.g. domain.com/?wp_estore_buy_now=5
The sales are going through fine and I must stress that I am delighted with the plugin. It’s outstanding.
It’s just picking up my servers IP address. I have feeling that it might be the host as I am also getting some spam comments which appear to originate from my servers ip address. Would it be possible that it is server configuration. If so, I will get onto my host though I am planning to change host in the new year any way.
PS. Have you any idea when the addon might be ready?

December 19, 2014 at 12:49 pm #67519Carthage BuckleyMemberAdmin, thanks for coming back to me.
I think I have managed to resolve the problem this morning. It seems that the issue was due to the CDN that I am using – sitelock.
I just installed a plugin they make which adds a bit of code and when I performed a test sale, it recorded the right IP address.
Thanks for your help.
