Can't upload the new e-Member plugin because WP won't let us delete the old one

Version v8.2.5 – This is the message we got when we performed a delete plugin:

Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) wp-eMember/wp_eMember.php.

This usually happens when your hosting provider has wrong permission settings on the plugin folders. Your hosting provider would be the best person to help you with folder deletion error/issue on your server.

Have you tried deleting the plugin folder (after you have deactivated it) from an FTP client such as FileZilla?
