Hi
This relates to the same eMember / Simple Download Monitor site I have just posted about in the eMember forum on a different issue. Again I have searched for an answer on the SDM forum but I am unable to post this query there.
I have installed the ‘More File Types for SDM’ plugin in order to be able to offer downloads of MindManager (.mmap) files as the premium, paid for content on the site. However I am still unable to upload these files to the site in order to link them to a download.
Also I cannot find any settings menu (or indeed any way of interacting at all) for the plugin that shows a list of accepted file types that I could ammend.
I have been able to add MindManager files on a previous site however it was a couple of years ago and I forget which plugin I used (obviously may need to try and find out). If I remember correctly it had a list of accepted file types which MindManager files obviously weren’t on, but I was able to add the .mmap extension to the list of accepted types and it worked.
Any suggestions for adding .mmap files to the More File Types for SDM plugin?
I was going to investigate the Dropbox extension for SDM once everything was working fine just from an ease of file management point of view. Would this solve the problem, or will it still only work for the approved list of file types in the WP media library?
Any steerage you can provide will be gratefully received.
Best regards
Angus
May 26, 2020 at 1:45 am #80625adminKeymasterThat file extension is not a commonly used file type. Our addon didn’t have it on the list. I have just added that extension to the accepted list in our following addon:
https://simple-download-monitor.com/allow-more-file-types-to-be-uploaded-via-wordpress/
Please download the new version of the addon and that should allow you to upload that file type. Let me know if it works after that.

Thanks, the update has worked and I can now upload .mmap files to my site. I just had to update the plugin via the usual plugin interface rather than upload the new zip file. A list of accepted file types somewhere in the documentation, and what to do if the file type you want is not listed, would be useful to everybody I think.
Could you answer my query on the Dropbox addon and file types – does it only work with ‘accepted’ file types ie. is the ‘More File Types For SDM’ plugin an essential intermediary for it to work with my .mmap files?
Best regards
Angus

Thankyou very much for your quick responses to my queries. A step too far right now, but I’ll keep the dropbox integration functionality in mind for the future.
Best regards
