Tagged: Coupons
Hi! I can’t seem to delete coupons. That is, I click Edit on a coupon, then click the Delete Coupon button underneath the Save Coupon button. The page reloads as if the action were accepted, but the coupon still shows.
I have updated eStore recently. Could that have affected it? To further test it, I tried making a new coupon and deleting it rather than a deleting a pre-update coupon. Still doesn’t remove it.
Here’s the line of source code in my version that creates the save and delete buttons:
<p class="submit"><input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Save Coupon" /> <input type="submit" name="deleteproduct" value="Delete Coupon" /></p>
I’d be happy to do further testing Thanks for your help with this.
I think you forgot to deactivate the plugin while upgrading to the recent version. So the plugin was updated but the database wasn’t.
Please do the following:
1. Deactivate the plugin.
2. Delete it.
3. Now Upload it again
4. Install
Let me know how it goes.
Hello! Thanks for helping me with my problem.
I was about to give up after following your steps to no avail, but the mistake was mine. After clicking Delete Coupon, the coupon is not deleted. Rather, a prompt appears at the top of the page asking for confirmation. I did not see this because it shows up on a different part of the screen than the coupon section.
Thanks for your patience! Glad it was a simple oversight on my part.
Just curious, if I follow the above steps will I lose my data (eg. customer info, sales data and product information)?
Thanks,
David
The steps described by @wpCommerce will not delete any data. HOWEVER, if you stored any of your products within the plugin directory, you must first make a backup of said directory, or else you will lose your download files.
