I sell a mixture of eBooks and memberships. Therefore I’d like the downloadable product link and associated instructions to only be shown when a customer has purchased an eBook. I cut/paste the link and instructions from the “Buyer Email Body” into the “Instructions for Buyer” area. I then added {product_specific_instructions} into the “Buyer Email Body” and purchased one of my eBooks.
The text of the product specific instructions load correctly *except* the product download link was showing {product_link} instead of the download link. Yet when this same text is contained within the “Buyer Email Body” it loaded correctly, including the URL link. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

I have been trying to customize buyer emails for specific of types products, mainly downloadable and non-downloadable. Seems hard to use {product_specific_instructions} tag to achieve this as it repeats for every similar type of product purchased. Something like a {category specific instruction} would make this possible.
Another improvement would be for the {product_link} email tag to show nothing or hide the tag, if there is no downloadable content, rather than showing
product name – This product does not have any downloadable content
It seems messy and unnecessary for the customer to see that especially if you have already used the {product_details} or {product_name} email tags.
thanks for a great plugin!

The following email tag only lists the download links for digital items.
{product_link_digital_items_only}

I think it goes along way to tidying up the buyer email. I have not implemented yet as I am waiting for an appropriate time to update my site, but am sure it will work perfectly as the rest of the plugin does.
I would still love to see a {category specific instruction} and/or the ability to use email tags inside the {product_specific_instructions} one day!
Cheers
