Can I use bitly links to make my creatives social media friendly?

I want to make some Twitter friendly creatives. Obviously it’s hard to fit a lot into 140 characters. Can I use a bitly link to my site followed by ?XXXX for my affiliates instead of a standard link?

Ex: Instead of [http://104homestead.com/shop/?XXXX]

use [http://bit.ly/1zXpvDM/?XXXX]

“It depends” on whether or not bit.ly or whatever link shortener you use, allows query strings as part of the URL being shortened. I know Google allows query strings; you’ll have to do your own testing.

I am pretty sure that what you explained will work fine.

FYI – Twitter will do it’s own link shortening tool automatically when you use a URL in the tweet.
