Can I prevent access to my site if someone unsubscribes from my mailing list?

Hey,

I have set up WP-eMember in such a way that when someone creates a free account, they are also signed up to my Aweber mailing list. This way they get access to my site and to my newsletter. Is there a way to set it up so that if they unsubscribe from Aweber they lose access to the site?

As far as I’m aware eMember doesn’t currently cater for mail list unsubscribe events.

You’ll have to ask the AWeber guys if they have some sort of notification feature where they are able to send an unsubscribe event to an external script from their API.

Thanks so much for your quick answer Peter. I will definitely ask them. Another quick question. When people sign up to my WP eMember account, after i set it up to add the user to my Aweber account, do they still need to confirm their subscription on Aweber or they are added automatically?

Hi Julio,

AWeber will send a confirmation email to your customer who will then be given the choice to either accept the subscription or not.
