Photo Seller – Can I link the Continue Shopping Button back to a post?

Hi, Great plugin!

Can I make it so that when the buyer clicks on “Continue Shopping” They are redirected to the post they came from?

I have my galleries embedded into posts and I would like them to be redirected to that post to continue browsing that gallery.

I don’t want clients being redirected back to a selection of galleries just the post from where they came!

Is this possible?

Hi Tom,

If you are referring to the “continue shopping” button in the “photo details” page, then the behaviour currently is that the plugin will automatically assign that the button to point to the gallery page which the user came from.

Are you not seeing this behaviour?

I am, its just the gallery is embedded into a post and I want it to link to the post and not the gallery.

I’ve put extra info and a featured image along with the embedded gallery in the post.

The button is currently linking to the gallery page.

You should be able to do the same for the page which represents the gallery you are interested in.

All you need to do is edit that gallery’s page from the wordpress “Pages” menu and add the things you mentioned. Have you tried that?

Yes but the featured image does not display. I believe this is a theme issue however and not yours! I’ve taken steps to make it work.

I’m having a similar problem. When I send a client their link, they can add items to the cart just fine. When they “View Cart” and then “Continue Shopping” it takes them to the Photo Gallery home (WPS_photo_gallery_home) rather than the page for their specific gallery. How can I fix this so they are taken back to their gallery every time they click “Continue Shopping” from within the Cart? By the way, great plugin!

I downloaded the latest version today, the problem still remains. It only happens when you “View Cart” and then “Continue Shopping”.

Sent you an updated copy of the plugin that should address this issue. You can select the page that you want to link to for the continue shopping button in the cart.

Hi, plugin works great but I found the same issue as above.

When the continue shopping is clicked, it takes the user back to every gallery created, rather than just their photos.

I can see this may become a problem when I have loads of galleries setup, is there anyway to take them back to just their gallery?

When selecting the page to take them back to in the settings of the WP photo seller, it is just the ‘photo gallery’ for the whole of the galleries. If I select a specific gallery, this will take them back to just the one gallery and not theirs.

version I am using is : 1.9.5

No that type of feature is not possible at present.

Currently the plugin has no way of knowing which gallery the visitor came from.

We will have a think about this to see if there is a solution.
