Hi, trying to work out where to store my digital products I will be selling in my eStore.

Can I integrate Dropbox so I can store my products there? If now any pointers to online storage that I can use with eStore would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Thank you

    Morgana

Hello Morgana if you want to use external storage then your best option is to use Amazon s3. Read the following URL to find out how.

Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (AWS S3) Integration

Amazon S3 will be really good for what you are trying to do.

You ***can*** use any external storage service, in which a URL to the stored object can be derived, so that it can be used as a product URL. *****HOWEVER*****, it has the disadvantage of DOUBLING the bandwidth usage of your server; because during an encrypted download, the contents of the externally hosted file are first copied to your server and then pushed back out to the buyer.

It is for this reason, that we recommend the use of Amazon S3 for externally stored files; because instead of copying the file to your server and pushing it back out, the downloading is simply handed off to the Amazon servers. This has the effect of reducing the download bandwidth of your server to ZERO.

We also recommend the use of Amazon S3 for servers that are “underpowered.”
