Can gifting integrate with Wishlist

Hi,

I want my customers to be able to purchase a membership level on my Wishlist membership as a gift. My first developer told me this was possible. Now that we’re creating the site my new developer says this isn’t possible. Can someone please educate me here? Can I use the gifting in the estore to gift a Wishlist membership? Do the two integrate?

Sorry but I don’t see anything in this link that says this integrates with Wishlist. Can you please be more specific? I need my customer to be able to gift someone a membership so when they pay their gift recipient must be added to Wishlist member and then receive login information like their username and password. Can the estore gift option do this? I can see ithe estore can offer gifts certificates and vouchers, but I don’t see anything at this link talking about integrating with Wishlist.

The link you gave me explains how the estore integrates with Wishlist, but I’m not clear how someone pays for a gift for someone else and how their gift recipient’s name is then put on Wishlist and how that gift recipient redeems their voucher. Can you please explain this process. The link would not be good enough to give to my developer. We already know the estore integrates with Wishlist. I need a specific answer that addresses the gifting option and how it integrates with Wishlist. My developer keeps telling me the estore integrates, but the gift voucher cannot integrate. Please point me to an explanation that explains how the gift voucher can integrate with Wishlist member. Thanks

I’m not sure if English is your first language. Please indicate which of the following points you need help with understanding:

1. You use eStore voucher addon to sell the gift vouchers. Each gift voucher is good for one membership. Wishlist does not need to know about this.
2. The buyer of the gift voucher gives the voucher to the recipient.
3. The recipient uses the voucher, instead of payment, for their membership; via eStore. Wishlist does not need to know about this.
4. After the voucher is redeemed, eStore tells Wishlist to create the membership. Wishlist does not need to know that a voucher was used to pay for the membership.
5. Wishlist does not need to know how the membership was paid for; as long as it does what eStore tells it to do.

Unfortunately we have wishlist autoregistration setup so it automatically creates the user in wishlist and puts it as “incomplete registration” and I never received the voucher information even though it got created and I can see it in the backend.

Does anyone know if the voucher can work with autoregistration?
