Hi. From time to time my members cancel their membership profiles via my website, which has the effect of deleting their user accounts from WP eMember but does not affect their PayPal recurring payment (even though it is stated in our T&C that to cancel your membership you need to cancel your PayPal payment). They then complain when they are still being billed the next month.
Is there a way that WP eMember can cancel a user’s recurring PayPal payment if they cancel their user account?

Subscriptions result in a “payment agreement” contract between the subscriber and PayPal; of which you are considered a third party. As such, you only receive payments, and IPN messages, regarding the recurring payments. The subscriber must manually cancel their subscription, or you must manually log into PayPal and release them from their payment agreement.
Alternatively, if you also had eStore, and the Payment Gateway Bundle, you could provide an on-site means for the member to cancel their subscription. This is because you would be processing all of the membership payments on your site; using PayPal Pro subscription services. However, PayPal Pro is a premium service, which you must not only pay for, but you must also be vetted for.
