Buyer email adding blank lines everywhere — basically double and triple spacing

Something is putting
tags after each line even if the line is simply another html tag such as <tr>. I see this looking at the source of the email. I have tried text emails and they are also “double spaced”. I have tried switching to a standard theme, turning on and off plugins to shut off autop, turning on and off Tiny MCE Advanced plugin. All to no avail. The only thing that works is running the entire html with no spaces between tags, including <p> — but I cannot edit or update… because when I save, estore pluging/wordpress reformats so that I will have to remove the spaces again.

Any solution?

eStore plugin doesn’t actually control the visual editor. It comes from core WordPress.

So how you are you adding a new line. By pressing Enter? If you don’t want to start a new <p> you can try pressing Shift+Enter. It allows you to separate the lines with a <br> instead of <p>
