Hello,
When I click my buy-now button to go to pay pal, I get an error saying “We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the “Ask Seller a Question” link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at http://www.paypal.com.”
Here is my code: [wp_eStore_buy_now:product_id:1:end]
Also, at the top of the pay pal error page where it should display the paypal email address of the merchant, it is cut off. I only see the first letter of my pay pal email address which is weird.
The email is correct so I’m not sure what the problem is.

March 31, 2010 at 6:00 am #19279IvyMemberHi, From what Paypal is saying there is an error with the email address “We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller.” I did some research on this and there are a few things to check from what the information I found says.
1.) If you are using a subscription you need to make sure the from email address is the same as your paypal email address.
2.) If you are using a business account you need to make sure you have the business name specified in the Paypal profile.
3.) Make sure you do not have your Paypal sandbox email address entered in by mistake.
4.)Are you using a plugin that hides your email address or cloaks it?
Please have a look at these things and let me know if they fix the problem.
Can you please post a link to where this is happening?
Also what version of the plugin are you using?

Thanks. Can you elaborate on “2.) If you are using a business account you need to make sure you have the business name specified in the Paypal profile. ” Are you referring to the email address? Is the business name specified in the eCart settings or in my pay pal account? I am using the newest version.

April 1, 2010 at 7:34 am #19281IvyMemberHi, The business name is located in your Paypal Profile. This issue has to do with Paypal and not the eStore plugin. If these steps do not fix your problem you will need to contact Paypal for further assistance regarding this issue.
