If someone registers on my site using wordpress registration, the emember integration works fine.

But with the buddypress registration, users are not being integrated with emember. Is there a way to be able to use the buddypress registration?

eMember integrates with the WP User Database. Does your buddypress install crates WordPress users at registration using the WordPress user creation API?

Members appear in the wp members list but not in emember, when they register using the buddypress registration form.

The question about using the wp user creation api is over my head- I don’t know where to look for the answer.

    thx

You basically control everything through the WordPress user roles. I am pretty sure Buddypress works based on what role a WordPress user has and then can give access according to the role.

So what you do is use eMember as the gateway. Don’t allow registration through buddypress. People can only create an account on your site using eMember’s signup process.

You will need to enable the “WordPress User Integration” (check the eMember settings menu). This will create a corresponding WordPress user account with the role you specify for specific membership levels of eMember.

This is what you can expect to happen:

    1) User lands on your site

    2) They signup using the signup process of eMember (either pay for the signup or register free)

    3) When they signup an WordPress account with the correct role (you set this when you set up the membership level in eMember) will be created for this member.

    4) When this member logs in Buddypress will pick up their user role and allow access to content that you have setup in Buddypress.
