Braintree – Subscription based recurring payments

So I’m trying to get this thing working, but for some reason I’m unable to do this. In the product menu I’ve added the recurring billing. But it is not working. Anyone have experience with getting Braintree subscription based payments working?

What kind of button shortcode are you using for the product?

At the moment I use wp_eStore_fancy4, I also tried wp_eStore_subscribe_fancy but it redirects me to Paypal page, when I removed the automatic paypal email from settings it just gave paypal error, It doesn’t redirect me to Braintree, it uses Paypal only.

Subscription and Buy-Now buttons only work with PayPal; unless you are using a gateway-specific button:

I’m not sure (yet) if the Braintree addon supports gateway-specific buttons. If not, you must use an “Add To Cart” button.

Are we still unable to use Braintree for subscriptions?

It’s still unavailable. But we have decided to work on it. We will check how their subscription API works and implement it into the addon accordingly.
