    Hi team!

My online store (eStore) uses WP Stamper (for purchases) and Squeeze forms (for free downloads). I also use the Bitly URL shortening function for both eStore and Squeeze forms. It has all been functioning perfectly for almost two months now with dozens and dozens of sales and free downloads. I have had the same problem twice now – once with a Squeeze form, and once with an eStore sale.

Each time I had a client contact me after his purchase/Squeezing saying that there was an error code where the download link should be. Sure enough when I checked the confirmation emails there was an error as follows: Error in the link shortener API call! Status code:

The error code was the same both times, and there is no code following the error notification.

I haven’t changed any settings or done anything on the site. I did update the WordPress version, but there have been sales and squeeze forms since then without a problem.

I did get a notification from Bitly earlier this week, but that was asking me if I wanted to use customised links, which won’t work for me, so I didn’t make any changes there. There have also been successful download links generated after this happening.

I have also done a test purchase myself and there was no error – everything worked perfectly.

Has anybody else had this issue, and is there something I can do to try and prevent it from happening again? I’m nervous about this error as nit’s happened twice now, and I’ll be on vacation over the Christmas break, and won’t be able to assist people if they encounter this issue.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
