    Hi,

I’m trying to do the above.

I added a coupon for 100% discount and now users can choose to pay manually after submitting the coupon (Paypal doesn’t let me do a transaction for 0$).

It works well only the problem is that the customer doesn’t want all users to be able to see the ‘Coupon’ option or the ‘Manual Payment’ method.

What would be the best way to let some users download products freely?

    Thanks :)

I’m doing this same thing, but using a coupon and not showing the manual checkout but using the setting for manual checkout for $0 transactions. It is working very well. The coupon area would show, but not the manual checkout.

You can see my order page at http://www.deepbrewedlife.com/music/ – if you put in a coupon code and hit the checkout, it takes you to the manual checkout.

You can try the process with the coupon code thankyou if you’d like.

BTW – is there a way to “lock” the wp-eStore plugin from customers to download it from server?

Oh, I just now see your answer. Thanks :)

The problem is that the customer doesn’t want this Coupon field to be shown to all users.

    Thanks anyway :)

I will try to configure something with wp eMember..

    Hi,

In addition to Grant’s suggestion, if you also have eMember you can create products which are restricted for members only – meaning that only logged in members can checkout.
