Bad Behaviour Plugin & eStore

I just had a few hours to spend to try to figure out why no mails were being received from my test purchases, nothing was being written to the logs then I seemed to remember reading someone on one of the comments on a page about an issue with the Bad Behaviour plugin. I disabled it and Hey Presto…I just wondered if there was a workaround/fix to get both to work together ?

As a side issue I couldn’t get my download links to appear on the thank you confirmation page once I had that issue sorted out, received by email ok but did not work when I checked the box on the setting and put the shortcode tag on the page….any idea/suggestions on what I could try.

WP eStore has nothing to do with the Bad Behavior plugin. Bad behavior plugin blocks IPN (Instant payment notification) from PayPal. Without the payment confirmation from PayPal the eStore plugin can’t process the order and hence no email.

Why do the Bad behavior plugin blocks PayPal’s IPN? I have no idea.

Regarding the downloads on the thank you page… do you have “Auto Redirection” on in your PayPal profile? Please note that if you have auto redirection on then PayPal won’t POST the payment data back to your site and the plugin will not give out a link without payment confirmation.

I use eStore and I like to know if I’m not using the IPN, but I’m using the PDT, Will Bad Behavior still work? Thanks

PDT will still verify the payment with PayPal and bad behavior blocks any notification from PayPal so it won’t work.
