Tagged: Amazon, download link, S3, security
I set up Amazon AWS S3 correctly. I followed all the steps. It sends me the product link to download via email when I test. However after clicking the link, it sends me the AWS folder but in the link path it reveals my AWS Access Key Id. How is this secure for the whole world to see my Access Key Id? I don’t understand how this is encrypting?? Please help, because I do not want my Access ID revealed if I use Amazon AWS. I thought you all encrypt it.
The access key shown in the URL is the public access key. “Public” means you can spray paint it on the side of a subway train and it still won’t matter. Now, if it were the “Secret” key, then you should be worried.
