I have gone through all of the steps for setting up AWeber, but when I paste my AWeber Auth Code and click on the “Make Connection” button, all I get is a blank screen. I cannot seem to get the connection to take.
I verified with my server admin that PHP CURL is enabled. See [http://readingkeyboardmusic.com/phpinfo.php] — can you see something here that might cause it to fail?
Here’s what I’m running:
WP eStore v 6.9.6.5
WordPress 3.5.1
Thesis 2.0.3.1
I tested it on my dev site (same versions of estore, wp and thesis), which is on a different server, and everything works perfectly. So I’m guessing that it has something to do with my server configuration.
Any suggestions?

Please check this value again:” error when I save a product. I have verified that the image url is correct–it’s just really annoying seeing that message every time.
January 29, 2013 at 5:37 am #53406adminKeymasterWhat version of PHP is your dev server using (where it works fine)? Are you using exactly the same set of plugins on both these sites?
Do you have any other plugins installed on this site that is also doing something with AWeber?
This post will help with the URL not found error:
January 29, 2013 at 4:00 pm #53407rkmMemberDev server is also running PHP 5.2. Yes, same set of plugins on both sites and no other aweber-affecting plugins.
January 29, 2013 at 4:01 pm #53408rkmMemberMy primary server does have a firewall appliance installed. Could there be a setting there that might be blocking a needed port?
January 30, 2013 at 5:17 am #53409adminKeymasterThe firewall is most likely blocking the communication to AWeber’s site. When you enter that Auth Code, it needs to communicate to AWeber’s site and validate the code you entered. I have a feeling the firewall is blocking this communication and preventing the authentication from happening. Can you temporarily disable the firewall and then try the authentication to see what it does?
January 30, 2013 at 5:47 pm #53410rkmMemberI would rather not disable the firewall because this is only one of several live sites running on my dedicated server. However, do you know which port is being used to communicate with AWeber?
January 30, 2013 at 6:39 pm #53411rkmMemberJust an FYI…I did some research and saw that AWeber uses Oauth, so I checked and it wasn’t installed on my server. I had my admin install it, but it’s still not working.
January 30, 2013 at 7:07 pm #53412rkmMemberI spent more time with my server admin troubleshooting the issue, and the error logs indicate that the auth code is invalid. However, when I paste the same code into my test server’s install of wp estore, it works fine. We checked the firewall and PHP settings and couldn’t find anything that would be blocking the transmission of the auth code…but obviously there is something wrong. Can you think of anything else that might block that transmission?
January 31, 2013 at 2:12 am #53413adminKeymasterHi, Not having a particular PHP library or class that the AWeber API package requires could cause this too (I think this is the more likely case on this site). I can’t think of anything else that would affect it. You should get in touch with us by filling the contact form on our site. Maybe we can do some debugging on the site to get more info.
