Hi, great plugin! Can you please help me with the following?
I typically have an optin page on a different site/wp installation than the membership site. There are different reasons for it such as I use different templates for optin page than I use for the membership site.
The problem is how to synchronize the members in the autoresponder, where people sign up in the optin page with the member list on the eMember driven membership site.
I believe this is a common scenario and currently I dont see a solution for this.
Do you have any?
Thanks,
Pavel.
February 23, 2011 at 1:35 am #29325amin007ParticipanteMember is only concerned about signing up the members to a autoresponder list when they signup on eMember. It doesn’t have any knowledge of any other autoresponder sign ups that you do on other sites.
February 23, 2011 at 6:01 am #29326PavelMemberIs there any html optin code that I would post to a different site where people would sign up in eMember on my wp site?
Thanks,
Pavel.
February 24, 2011 at 1:02 am #29327amin007ParticipantI am not sure I understand the relationship between eMember and the other site. What are you trying to achieve?
February 24, 2011 at 5:41 am #29328PavelMemberActually, as far as I know most internet marketers (including myself) use one site as optin site and different site as a membership site. There are good reasons for it.
So I need the members on the membership site (driven by eMember) to sign up in the form that is placed in the optin site. Both sites use different wordpress installations and sometimes the optin site is html only.
The dream scenario would be to have only autoresponder optin (aweber, mailchimp, …) and a membership plugin that would synchronize its members list with the autoresponder database but unfortunatelly we only have to dream it, the membership software producers dont want to do it – probably because it is not doable.

March 2, 2011 at 7:36 am #29330PavelMemberI see. So, is there any html or php code I would put to my optin site that would display and run your eMember optin form from the member site?
March 2, 2011 at 11:23 pm #29331amin007ParticipantNope, this what eMember can do when it comes to autoresponder signup
– The user fills in the registration form and hits the signup button.
– The eMember plugin creates a member account for the user and at the same time sends a request off the to the autoresponder to signup that user to a specified list/campaign.
I think what you want is the following:
membership plugin is installed on site A. Someone fills in the opt-in form on site B and that should create a member account on site A and signup the user to the autoresponder.
I am pretty sure that standard membership plugins won’t do this. You will need to get a custom job done for this.

Pavel.
March 3, 2011 at 4:58 pm #29333woodpecker34MemberI was having the same problem. I would set up the product on one url and tried to get the member added to a second url.
I fought with for a couple of days and decided against it.
It sounds as if you were having the same problem, especially with the sales/squeeze page.
I could not get them working the way I wanted so I got wp sales page (a plugin that creates a ‘sales page’ template. I use to create my pages and can now use eStore and/or eMember on the same site that I use for my product.
March 5, 2011 at 3:46 pm #29334PavelMemberThanks woodpecker34, I did the same. I hope one day the world will be perfect and the theme producers will include squeeze page in each of the templates or/and membership plugin producers will give us a chance to put the form on another url. Just one day…
