Autoplay on Case by Case Basis?

Here’s the scenario:

I have disabled the “autoplay” option on the flow player and html 5 library settings. Reason is I have 2-3 videos on a page in my membership site and I embed these videos using the secure S3 embed short code so I do not want all the videos to play at once.

when a visitor lands on the page.

However, on the module pages where I only have a single video, I do want the embedded video to autoplay.

My question:

Is there a paramater I could add to the short code to enable autoplay on a case by case basis? For example, like adding “autoplay=”1″” to the short code?

Hi, currently it’s not possible. But we are working on this so you can configure multiple options for a specific Flowplayer shortcode.

Hello – Can you get a short term workaround?

I am trying to pass flowplayer parameters/variables via the url — is there any suggested hacks we can try??

Fore example … not working but maybe there is code we can place on the source file and pass a parameter via php or something??

Would love to keep this plugin but it has no value to me if I can not easily control; parameters.

Hi, we cannot just release a new feature full of bugs. We need to consider many things before we implement it.

So if I understand correctly, what your saying is that this plugin DOES NOT provide basic control over the video player?

Maybe I am missing something here, please confirm that there is no way to pass parameters for BASIC video player parameters on secure S3 short code.

Yes, you can’t customize the player separately for each shortcode. It applies to any shortcode that uses Flowplayer (including S3).
