Hi, I am having difficulty getting my authorize.net payments to work properly. Payments go through and encrypted download link is sent in email but I am getting this error message after conpletion of sale:

An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the merchant. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

    This transaction has been approved.

It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service.

    DEBUG MODE REVEALS THE FOLLOWING:

This happens when your server is not properly configured or your auth.net profile is not setup correctly. Please go through this checklist which will help:

Thanks, I’m getting a closer. There was an error in the thank-you page url in Authoriz.net account. Fixed that and now, while in Authorize.net test mode, the thankyou page loads after the transaction goes through and email receipt comes from Authorize.net but NOT the email with the download link.

Here is a screenshot of the urls listed in the Authorize.net account:

    Here is the debug output:

BTW…this is odd because previously, even with the error message I did get the download link emailed to me.

Every time you bump your post it goes to the back of the queue so it takes longer to get a response. So wait for 24 hours before bumping your post.

What version of eStore are you using? Do you have new debug info from the test you did after you made changes in your authorize.net profile? To me it looks like after you made changes in your authorize.net profile, it is not sending the payment notification to the plugin anymore.

You can reset the debug log file from eStore setting so you can erase any old debug data and get a clean capture when you do a new test transaction.

    Plugin Version v6.7.6

Looks like after the payment goes through in test mode, the user is redirected to the thankyou page as expected. However, Google Chrome flags the page saying it’s not secure and asks if I want to load it anyway. I say yes of course but am then redirected to the page that asks to enter credit card info. All the fields on that page are not filled in.

    [07/07/2012 3:02 AM] – Advisory : Log file reset.

I just ran the test payment in Firefox and it appeared to go through. Got the thankyou page no problem, got an emailed receipt as I did in the test in Chrom. However, in both instances I got NO email with download link.

    Here’s the log:

Just so you know, the email address and my name in the above debug are bogus. I used real info in the test purchase. I didn’t want my email and name exposed on this forum.

That is very strange because in test mode it is not suppose to do that check where it is failing for duplicate transaction ID.

You definitely have the following field checked in eStore settings for test purchase?

    Enable Sandbox Testing

Did you recently upgrade the plugin?

No, when I refer to test mode as seen in the debug log above , I am referring to Autorhorize.net test mode. I put the authorize.net account into test mode. The box you are referring to “Enable Sandbox Testing” has never been checked.

We just purchased this plugin within the last week or so and have not upgraded. As I stated above, it’s Plugin Version v6.7.6.

Turned out that the user was using wrong authorize.net API login and transaction key! Corrected the API details and now everything is working.
