I have gone through the forum several times and tried all types of solutions, but they’re not working. I am trying the Fancy7 and Fancy 8 display. I have the extra shortcodes plugin, WP audio player, and the current version of estore installed. When I view the page I get “You need to have the Audio Player Plugin installed to use this shortcode”. I’ve deactivated plugins to make sure there is no js conflict, but it does not change anything. Please help
May 30, 2012 at 11:32 pm #45642adminKeymasterPlease post a link to the page where you are using these shortcodes. Also place a raw audio player shortcode on this page with an mp3 file so we can see if that plugin is truly working on your site.
May 31, 2012 at 2:34 am #45643Tokyo82MemberI’m such an idiot…I had the WPAudio Plugin instead of the Audio Player plugin. My sincerest apology for having wasted your time.
Problem solved
July 3, 2012 at 8:43 am #45644montecristoMemberYou need to have the Audio Player Plugin installed to use this shortcode…
Another silly question: “Where to get the needed (and required) plugin?”
There are so many audio plugin for WP and a search for “audio player” on
wordpress.org plugins displayed on the first “recommanded” plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/audio-player/
—
This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.
So please, is it a working “updated” plugin associated with fancy7 and fancy8 and maybe in html5 to bypass flash?
I tried to install your player:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-audio-music-player-plugin-4556
but there is always “You need to have the Audio Player…”.
Or another ready made fancy code working with your Minimal HTML5 player or Haiku player and working out of the box.
Thanks
July 3, 2012 at 10:34 pm #45645adminKeymasterFor fancy 7 and 8 use the following audio player plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/audio-player/
Alternatively use the following audio player plugin and fancy 9:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-audio-music-player-plugin-4556
You will just have to use the shortcode of the audio player in the description section of the product.
When using fancy9 any audio player plugin will do fine. eStore doesn’t really care about the audio player you use with fancy9 since you will place a shortcode of the player in the description section of the product to offer your music preview.
November 14, 2012 at 5:37 am #45646avalenciaMemberHi there,
I am having the same issue,
I downloaded your mp3 plugin and cannot make it to work. only if it is outside the shortcode Fancy 9 in the page, then it shows. I need it to be inside the fancy 9 shortcode.
When you say to add the player to the product description, are you talking about adding it to the store when creating the product? inside the section for additional product details? if not, how can I add it to the shortcode itself?
like so:
[wp_eStore_fancy6 id=1][sc_embed_player fileurl=”http://audiothumbprint.com/a/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/workin-late-full.mp3″%5D
Could you help please?
I am either tired of trying for few hours now and I still can’t make it work.
I am definitely missing something!
Best
Alex
November 15, 2012 at 5:07 am #45647adminKeymasterYou should be able to use the audio player shortcode inside the “Product Description” area of the eStore product in question.
I think there was a little bit of shortcode nesting issue going on this site. I have added a tweak to the extra eStore shortcodes plugin that should solve this. Please download a new copy of the extra eStore shortcodes plugin from the addon download area and give it a try.
April 10, 2013 at 8:59 pm #45648tomacaSpectatorfancy7 short code is not working for me. I have installed the extra codes, installed WPAudio Player, put the play code in the product description line and it just displays “[wp_eStore_fancy7 id=1]” on the actual page:
Can someone please tell me how I can resolve this? Thank you.
also, my email is [info@tgovan.com]. I don’t know how to make sure I get an email when this question is answered. Thanks!
April 11, 2013 at 12:19 am #45649wpCommerceModeratorHi, are you sure that you have the extra shortcode plugin installed? The fancy 7 display requires the extra eStore shortcodes plugin. You can find details of this extra eStore shortcodes plugins here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
I don’t see any trace of that plugin on this page: [http://tomaca.net/music]
May 24, 2015 at 8:09 pm #45650sailinggypsyMemberHello — I’m trying to get an audio file to display in Fancy8. I have installed the extra shortcodes plugin and the compact audio player plugin (since this one is no longer available: [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/audio-player/]. I have added the audio player plugin shortcode to the product description — and it still says a audio player plugin is required.
I read above that Fancy9 is an alternative — and I tried that — and it worked, but I’m really needing something that displays like Fancy8. Very much hoping you can help.
Also — is there a way to make the audio player only play a sample vs. the entire track?
Thanks in advance!
May 25, 2015 at 12:18 am #45651adminKeymasterUse the fancy 12 template which uses our compact audio player plugin and looks similar to fancy 8 template:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/stylish-product-display-options-for-wp-estore-829
Not 100% why that other audio player is down at the moment. If that other audio player is down for too long, we will provide an alternative.
May 25, 2015 at 5:40 pm #45652sailinggypsyMemberThanks for the quick reply. I’ve been trying to use Fancy 12 — and it comes up looking somewhat like Fancy8, but the audio player isn’t working. With Fancy 9 it works great, but nothing with Fancy12. Should I be putting the audio source file somewhere other than in the product description area with Fancy 12?
Product Description:
[sc_embed_player_template1 fileurl=”http://liemba.brownrice.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/17-Liemba-Chant.mp3″%5D
Also — the audio player still doesn’t seem to be available here: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/audio-player/]
Sorry for the bother!
May 26, 2015 at 12:03 am #45653wpCommerceModerator@sailinggypsy, You will need to specify a link to your audio file in the “Digital Product URL” field.
